FISH REPORT

Last update 5/21/13

Catfish

1,000 lbs. of Catfish will be stocked this Friday just in time for the Memorial Weekend!

Larry Bethune caught 4 Catfish out of lake 4 on mackerel. Average weight was 3lbs.

Brent Cole from Lakeside caught a 3lb. Catfish out of Lake #2 on Gulp blood nuggets.

Upcoming Nightfishing Events
June 13, 27             July 11, 25              August 8, 22:

Twenty-five Tagged Catfish are still swimming in lakes #3 and #4 just waiting to be caught. Some of the prizes include fishing gear, free fishing permits, free camping trips, etc

Bass

The Bass are biting! Lakes #1, #2 and #5 have been the most popular this past week. Fish up to 5lbs. caught and released. Best baits: senkos, topwater, nightcrawlers

Larry Bethune from Santee hauled in a 10lb.3oz. Bass from lake #4 using mackerel.

All Bass from all 7 lakes are catch and release. Santee Lakes has miles of accessible shoreline with double digit Bass pulled from every lake!

Bluegill

The Bluegill bite has improved over the last couple of weeks. The Schroeder Family camped lakefront this weekend and the kids had a blast catching Bluegill all day.
