Can I launch my kayak in the lakes?

At this time personal watercraft or float tubes are not allowed due to Quagga mussels. Quagga mussels range from microscopic to the size of a fingernail, are prolific and attach themselves to any hard surface. Once they are established in a waterway, the have significant environmental, recreational, and economic impacts.  Quagga can cause significant maintenance challenges to water systems, requiring millions of dollars annually to treat. They also wreak havoc with the environment, disrupting the natural food chain and releasing toxins that affect other species.
